Let’s take a look at its best and worst features.
Evaluating Peugeot Parts, Design, and Performance
Best Features
- Practicality- As a supermini hatchback, most drivers would expect to be able to fit into tight spaces whenever necessary. However, this Peugeot makes tight spaces even more practical with its rear sliding doors that can be opened easily in crowed areas where space is an issue.
- Boot Space- For a small car, the Bipper offers a lot of boot space- 356 litres to be exact. The low, wide opening and large tailgate are brilliant too, making loading heavy items simple. If you choose to fold down the rear seats, the Bipper’s boxy shape offers even more space, and almost unheard of 2,500 litres.
- Safety- Despite not having any formal crash test rating, the Bipper still provides some features that will make drivers feel safe on the road. All models come with electronic stability control and anti-skid, and some models like the Outdoor and the S have driver, side, and passenger airbags, although you’ll have to pay extra for some of these features.
- Running Costs- Most car models are much more economical when manual versions are chosen, but the Bipper is just the opposite. When fitted with an automatic gearbox and car parts, it’s capable of achieving 67.2 mpg, two more than the manual version. The emissions for both versions are very similar however, making the road tax only £30 per year. Maintaining Peugeot parts and purchasing insurance for this car is inexpensive as well.
The Worst
- Comfort- The Bipper Tepee shares certain Peugeot parts with the Bipper Van, including the suspension design, which makes for a rough and bumpy ride. In addition, space for passengers is limited inside, especially in the rear where tall passengers may bump their knees on the front seats. The seats themselves, in both the back and front, lack support as well, making long trips uncomfortable.
- Drive- The Bipper is easy to drive, especially at lower speeds around town. If you plan on going up any steep hills or open roads, however, it often feels gutless. It can easily keep up on the motorway, but at higher speeds it can become noisy due to the poor insulation in the cabin.
While the Peugeot Bipper Tepee offers many brilliant features, you should carefully consider whether a bumpy ride and lack of comfort is worth sacrificing for its other features, like easy-to-maintain car parts, open boot space, and reliability. Where you plan to use the car and how much you plan on driving it will be big considerations when choosing whether or not it is the right vehicle for you.
