Are you looking for a comfortable, safe, and practical alternative to a hatchback for your family? If so, you might want to consider the ingenious design of the Renault Modus. The majority of these models are luxurious and well-equipped with car parts that are safe and impressive. Let’s take a look at what it has to offer.

Evaluating Renault Parts, Comfort, and Performance

The Pros:

  • Interior- While the Modus may look a little different with its boxy proportions, this means that backseat passengers are never short on space to sit up straight. The front seat is roomy as well, offering more than enough leg and headroom for both the driver and the front passenger.

  • The Boot- While not all aspects of the boot are brilliant, the split tailgate is something many drivers enjoy. It’s easy to open one small section and quickly drop items into the boot, which can be useful if another car is parked close to the back of the Modus.

  • Performance- The Modus has light controls, which makes it very easy and comfortable to drive. It’s easy to navigate through town, especially if you choose the 1.2 litre petrol engine. However, if you plan on taking any long journeys, it’s best to choose the 1.5 diesel engine; it offer more power for the motorway.

  • Price Tag- While the Renault Modus isn’t an inexpensive as the Clio hatchback, it generally has a lower list price than other small MPV’s. It’s also a small and economical car, which means that it has a very good resale value.

The Cons:

  • Reliability- This Renault has had its fair share of problems with certain Renault parts, especially in its entry-level cars. Although the more expensive Modus models are luxurious, their entry-level cars don’t boast the same quality materials as Renault’s other cars and often feel as if they are “cheap.” Certain car parts have been known to cause problems for drivers as well, especially the engine.

  • Boot Space- Because the Modus is a small, compact car, you wouldn’t expect the boot to be big. However, it’s important to note that you won’t be able to fit much in the 217 litre space. If you do need more space, the rear bench seat will slide forward and there is an added option of an bike rack that can be chosen when you purchase the car.

  • Engine Noise- Looking to take a quiet ride? This car may not be for you. While it offers a strong performance, the engine can become pretty noisy, especially in diesel models at high speeds.

Overall, the Renault Modus is an excellent car for those who want a compact design similar to that of the older Clio. It’s practical, affordable, and a comfortable alternative to the hatchback. With plenty of space inside, it’s perfect for small families; the boot however, may not hold everything a small family needs to travel with. Certain Renault parts, like the engine, may become problematic as well and will need to be check regularly by a professional.
