What is a Crankshaft Belt Pulley?

Mounted to the outer part of the crankshaft, the crankshaft pulley powers the timing belt and auxiliary belt. The auxiliary belt delivers rotational power to the car's components, including the alternator, power steering pump, and air-con compressor.

The crankshaft belt pulley is mounted to the outer part of the crankshaft, on the opposite side of your vehicle's flywheel. The crankshaft pulley delivers rotational power to both the camshaft at the top of the engine and the auxiliary drive belt to deliver power through its rotation of the car's components, including the alternator, power steering pump, and air-con compressor.
