With fuel prices getting higher and higher car makers like Audi are starting to add features to their cars that deal with this issue.  New Audi models now display fuel prices on the GPS system.

If this is going to become mainstream then garages will have to react more to local prices of petrol and not rely and the motorists ignorance when setting prices.

Of course the main issue will be how easy this system is to use and how danagerous it will be to look at the GPS system whilst driving.  But we think its a step in the right direction and probably something that will be of use to drivers.  It will at the very least show drivers how much they are being fleeced at motorway service stations and how close an alternative is.

Regardless of fuel prices it pays to service your car regularly as a poor performing engine will be inefficient and use more fuel.  So if you Audi is due for a service and you need Audi Parts please take a look at GSF's range here >
