I have a 02 registered VW Passat 1.9 TD Automatic, estate.When in top gear, at certain RPM, the engine shudders as if it has a flat spot. By kicking down, lower gear is selected, engine runs as per, then flicks into top, and same shudder is apparent. Anybody got any ideas?

Could be a number of things so really need a diagnostic scan, but if you want things to fiddle with / do then change fuel filter and check the airr flow meter
