Idle problem on A3

Audi A3, 1.8 1998 AGN: Do I need to reset the throttle body via VAG.Com (Ross-TEK) if I take it off and clean it?

Not 100% sure, but leaving the battery disconnected overnight *should* put the ecu back into basic / learn mode
