Rules, rules, rules! We don't like too many rules, and we would like to see everyone getting along in our friendly forum atmosphere.

Just a few things we need to insist on.


In order to promote a clean, healthy, respectful atmosphere where people are not afraid to ask questions, participate in this community and generally have a good time discussing things , a set of rules have been put together that we expect all forum members to abide by:



Registration Free Registration is required to Post.
You will only be able to view topics until you register.


Valid E-mail Required.
When you register, you must provide a valid e-mail address.
Privacy : We do *NOT* sell or distribute your email address or any other information to any third parties, except where we would be legally obliged to do so.


Golden Rules

Violation of these rules is grounds for IMMEDIATE banning of your account.
No Personal Attacks.
Criticise ideas, not people. Flaming will not be tolerated. This includes any material which is vulgar, defamatory, inaccurate, harassing, hateful, threatening, invading of others privacy, sexually oriented, or violates any laws.

Tolerance

We will not tolerate any offensive remarks relating to race, religion or sexuality.


No pornographic, sexually offensive, sexually explicit, or objectifying material. This includes suggestive images, graphics, and comments.
We would like this site to remain a family oriented site.

Do not post links to warez, warez sites or sites with pornographic, objectionable or illegal content.
Only link to sites that are for family viewing.
Do not discuss, suggest, engage, or encourage any illegal activity on the forums. Linking to locations that deal with any such activity are also forbidden.

No Trolling.
Don't make posts that are inflammatory just to annoy people.

Respect the privacy of others.
Do not post other's phone numbers, addresses, pictures, etc., without their permission.

Do not use objectionable language.
Any attempt to circumvent the swear filter in a repetitive, negative or derogatory manner shall result in an instant 24hr ban. This includes (but is not limited to): cr3ative spell1ng in order to get around the censor filters.

No Spamming.
Do not flood the forum with useless content

Acting outside forum's interests.
The forum is an area of free speech within these rules, but persistent behaviour outside the wider interests of the forum is not permitted, eg trying to move website traffic etc

We will lock, or remove any threads not complying with the above, without warning.

These are here to help you (and others) have an enjoyable experience here.
Please post in the right forum!
This helps people who are interested in your post find it. If you post in the wrong forum, we may move, edit or delete your post. If you have a topic that doesn't fit into any of the forums, post in the Tea Room' which is a general discussion forums.


Use a Descriptive Topic Subject.
This will help others find what they want to read.


Politics, Religion and controvertial subjects.
Remember, everyone has a different viewpoint and yours is just as valid as the next person's. Please keep your discussions civil. Not everyone is going to agree with you or be converted to your point of view. No throwing chairs, no pulling hair, no personal attacks, etc. This is a place for discussions, not fights. We will edit or delete your posts if necessary.


Message content.
You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages.
By using this forum you agree, that you will not use this Discussion Forum to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law. You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by yourselves.


No Cap Locks.
Please do not post messages with the subject or post all in capital letters, or your message will be edited or deleted. Words all in capitals are not only annoying but are read 50% slower than normal writing. Plus, it is considered YELLING by internet users who have been around for awhile.


Posts that go off topic.
We will endevour to edit any off topic posts in a thread to bring it back on topic however this may not always be possible and therefore the thread may be delete.

If this happens you will not necesarily receive notification as to the reason.





General rules for adverts in For Sale section When placing an advert please try to include the following. Your name, location, and contact details
(The amount of personal detail you include is up to you)

Only adverts for Cars ,parts, tools and equipment allowed. Do not try and advertise you business in the classified section! Any other adverts may be removed without explaination

Selling of pirated goods is not permitted

All adverts will run for 1 month after which they will be deleted. You may repost if required

Always delete the item once it's been sold



No forum discussions as to whether its worth the price or not etc in any other section of the forum are permitted. Any posts to that effect will be removed.


We accept no responsibility for items bought or sold from adverts or contacts within the forum.





Commercial Advertising
This forum does not offer free advertising for non-paying traders or entrepreneurs, whether on the forum or via private message. Any such messages will be removed without warning.

Selling of individual items is permissable by a private owner in our For Sale, however selling multiple items of the same product is considered a commericial post and may be removed at the discretion of moderator or administrator. Any reports of trading activity via Private Messages may result in accounts being suspended.


Classifieds belong in the For Sale forum. Any adverts found in other sections of the forum will be removed.





Enforcement of Rules If you are found breaking any of the rules you may have your posts deleted, edited or moved (as appropriate). In addition, your account may be deleted or suspended if the violation is serious enough or repeated after being warned.

If you find a post that breaks any of these rules, please contact us immediately by sending private message so we can take appropriate action.

 

Signatures

Signatures are allowed in posts. We will check out any links (URL's) embedded in signatures and may edit or delete them if they violate any of the rules, or if we do not think they are appropriate.





3 Strikes rule.

This forum uses a '3 strikes (warnings) then you're banned' policy.

If you violate any of these rules you may be issued with a warning and it will be noted on your account. Should you aquire 3 warnings then your account will be suspended for 1 week after which your warning count will be reset to zero.

Should a user constantly be breaching the forum rules then we may consider a longer ban for that account.

Posting of pornographic images or links *will* result in an instant 24hr ban.

If you are banned for any reason DO NOT create a new account to try to circumvent the ban.
If you are found to be doing this then you may be banned from the forum for good.



Private Messenger You can store a Maximum of 100 Private Messages (PM's)


All private information sent through the forum must remain private, and must not be posted within the forum our outside it, without the consent of all.

Please try and keep your Inbox available to recieve PM's and please refrain from posting "FAOs" asking people to clear their inbox on the forum.



Amendment of Rules
We reserve the right to revise these rules if and when it is deemed necessary. All such modifications take full force and effect immediately thereafter.
