Xantia HDI bitron temp sensor ?
(1/1)
HDI:
OK , before I become homicidely mad can anyone tell me where the temperature sensor that controls the rad fans via the 'bitron' module on a Xantia is located ??
I've scoured the engine bay from the top and underside on a ramp and just cannot find the barsteward thing !!
The sensor that water temp gauge uses is on the side of the thermostat housing and is obvious and was also faulty on mine so I replaced it. The other sensor is supposed to have a brown top and be located in the same area , but it isn't , no way !!
I need to replace it because the fans don't operate as they should when coolant temp rises. The air con switch operates them so they do work , they also activate when the coolant is low. Just need to sort them for normal running even though the car doesn't overheat easily , I want piece of mind that they will work if I get caught in a traffic jam etc.
