Engine Temp

  My Xsara 1.9 Turbo Diesel When warm runs below the 90 deg mark on the temp gauge. The heater runs warm but not hot. Is this normal , i think i read that the engine temp should be 90 deg but the gauge indicats more like 60 to 70 deg.

I shouldn't worry too much about it, i have had 2 zx td's and one ran hotter than the other. Your right tho, they should run at about 92deg.
Possible faulty guage or even a blocked pipe somewhere.
Just DONT let it get over 120 ish or a new head gasket will be needed for sure

Thermostat and coolant change wouldn't hurt, and see if it makes any difference
