I'm pretty sure it was the cam belt that let go on my 98MY LT35 last week. I havent looked at it yet but it sounded terminal when the engine banged to a halt on the M1 yesterday. The thing is although I like this van, it's a gutless SDI and really not worth mending. It's also a working van so time is money and I need a to think of a quick solution - i'm faced with two choices:
1/ Scrap it and buy another one
2/ Get someone else to fix it (I have the skills but not the time or facilities to do it).
So my question is this: Is there anyone out there who can take this SDI away, then supply and fit a decent second hand 109hp TDI engine?
