Mk2 Golf Foglights
(1/1)
JOHN@HEATHROW:
Lucas,
The grille mounted lamps are technicly "spot" lamps [:)],but a grille asmb.(with spots) taken off the another car should fit directly onto your vehicle, although they did change in 87/88' so try to get the one your car falls into >87 or 88>.As for the wiring, if its all there, there should be no problems as these lamps are wired to the main beam and will only work when you flick the switch onto main beam,so no other switch should be needed [:D].
Hope this helps some
J.

"POSITIVE WAVES ARE WHATS NEEDED"
Lucas Weybourne:
I've got a 1.6l Golf CL Mk2, and my front headlight grille is a bit broken from the previous owner. I had a look at the inside, and noticed that the wiring loom is there for (I'm presuming) a set of foglights as in GTi and Driver versions of the car. My question is, if I get a GTi grille with lights, will this just plug and play, or is there a switch adjustment inside I need to consider too (or whatever). Anyone done this?
Thanks, Lucas
