door Buzzer dont work

The switch for the door lights is in the door lock assembly so you could try removing the door card on the driver's door and spraying liberal amounts of WD40 around the door lock area to see if you can effect a repair.

This seems to be coming up more often as a question, suggesting that there is a possible fault in the design somewhere.......I wonder if it's the door switch or the wiring that runs through the large rubber trunking into the car from the door?

I have had the same problem with my polo for many years.  I tracked it down to the buzzer itself which is in the instrument binnicle.  A bloody pain to change!

To the optimist, the glass is half full.
To the pessimist, the glass is half empty.
To the engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

Hi

My bora has recently developed a fault. If i leave the lights on and then open the door the buzzer does not sound anymore. Also the lights on the door dont turn on when opening.

I have checked all the fuses and they all ok

Anyway know what else it could be?

cheers
