Headlight warning buzzer (Polo mk4)
« on: June 13, 2005, 03:03:20 PM »
Hello, Geraint,

the buzzer is probably mounted on the fusebox/relay plate, behind the driver's side glovebox. I just looked and it's marked '36'. Mind you, the buzzer operates on the driver's door only, and through a different pair of contacts from the interior light, so the pillar switch is a possible suspect too. (It has 2 seperate 'poles' inside).

Yours, Davey.

GL,
Just had a quick look,it looks like that on the later style vehicles they do list a "light buzzer" which redirects you to another section, unfortunatly the only part listed there is the complete instrument binnicle[:(],so it may be an integral part of the "cluster".

The warning buzzer that tells you when you have left your lights on has packed up, does anyone know where it actually is in the dashboard?  Any help greatly appreciated!
