Audi Car Parts Forum / Audi 80 Tdi idle problem

Hi all
not long been home after buying a 1994 80 tdi avant, its done over 200k but engine seems sound as it took me 6.5 hrs to get home! with no problems.
Just a few probs
Engine is hunting on idle
Between 1000 & 2000 the revs are quite jerky unless under load
&
After prolonged boosting (up a long hill) the revs die slightly as if it stops boosting
has anyone else experienced any of this? I have been reading a few forums and they all seem to think its the Inj' pump but im not convinced, been faffing with it a bit checking hoses etc but non the wiser.
