Hi Y'all,

Anyone got any tips on what might cause a '88 9000 non-turbo to idle erratically from between 1200 to 1800.  

When underway alls fine.

I've read something about an Auto Idle Control Valve, could this be the culprit or do the symptoms suggest something else.
